Obituary for Sue Reed

Sue Davis Reed, age 70, passed away on April 4, 2017 in Tyler Texas. She was born on May 15, 1946 to Winford B. Davis and Louise M. Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Marvin H. Davis and George H. Davis.
Sue was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and great friend to many. She worked and raised a family in tough times and was always someone who would listen and help those around her. She always had the answers that her family needed and if not she would research until she found it. She loved to read and sometimes go fishing. Sue loved being surrounded by family and friends, especially summer time weekends at her house by the lake. The more people she had around her the happier she was. Sue will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband James D. Reed; Son Jimmy Reed and wife Amanda; her daughters, Janet Reed and husband Robert, Kathleen Ditmars and husband Nicko; grandchildren, Bradley Reed, Jaylee Reed, Taylor Gonzalez, Kristen Delgado, Brandy Pacheco, Jeremy Reed, Allison Owens, Breanna Ditmars, Payton Dimars; 6 great-grandchildren; her brother, David McCoy; her sisters, Christie Airheart and Dorothy Becker; along with many nieces and nephews that she adored and loved.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 3:00-6:00 PM at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. If you would like to leave a message of condolence or light a candle for the family, you may do so at www.carroll-lehr.com
